HI! I just wanted to shed some light on a little stunt I pulled yesterday. My girlfriend and I decided to take a trip to our local Swap Meet in Spring Valley, CA. It was a beautiful day and I wanted to dress appropriately. As you will all learn, I am a diehard fan of bodysuits and sheer ANYTHING. I figured, "1+1=2" right? Right. I took a sheer skirt I had purchased from the Swap Meet a month or so ago and cut the slip out. The skirt is a light dusty pink color with a black band. I paired it with a white bodysuit. Unfortunately, I left my broken neck counter at the house yesterday. They were looking... they were ALL looking. Bracelets: thrifted Bag: thrifted Silk scarf (on bag): Vintage Gucci

Benefit- "the PORE fessional"

Quick review of a product i just sold my soul to. I have battled gargantuan pores for as long as I can remember. It got worse when I became of makeup wearing age. They seemed to grow as if they'd not yet reached puberty. I've tried countless products only to have them fail miserably or leave my skin with a nasty side effect (i.e. peeling, rash, increased pore size).

My friend Kecia and I went on a trip to the heavenly Sephora yesterday (mini haul to come). Right in front of my face was this product form Benefit called "the PORE fessional". It's a balm that claims to minimize pores. Usually the skeptic, I was excited to try it, so I did.

After $29, I'm a changed woman.

After cleansing and lightly moisturizing my face (follow directions), I applied a thin layer to the problem areas, then followed with my normal day-to-day makeup.

It takes a lot to sell me on a product. How was I sold today? No visible potholes, no oil, no frowns.

If you have large pores I recommend you stock up on Benfit's "the PORE fessional"... it's a must have beauty weapon. Properly stock your arsenal, ladies... and gents =)

Bag Lady

HI!!

So I wanted to update you all on my new project.... Handmade Bags!

My lovely mother bought me a new sewing machine and saved me from having to hand stitch everything (thanks Mom!).

The sewing machine is a Singer 2263; super easy to maneuver and thread! I am totally in love.

As you all know, I have a deeply rooted passion for thrifting. Surprisingly, I found yards of beautiful fabrics there. I picked up three yards of denim, two yards of Burnt Coral corduroy and two yards of neon yellow rayon for about $12!! I also bought a bag of vintage buttons for $4.99.

Anywho, check out the pictures!

Lace Bomb

Hey now!!

I just had to share the dress I purchased on my most recent thrift trip. It was $5... I love it. Being that it is totally see through, I put a black mini jersey dress underneath. Next time, I'll try a brown one that matches my skin ;)

And, of course, I paired it with Jeffrey Campbell's Lita boots...boom.

THAT IS ALL

Have a beautiful night folks...

Bad Kitty

HI!

So, I couldn't wait to style this blazer! Today, I paired it with another thrifted item. I purchased this silk leopard button down for $6. It's been sitting in my closet and I was FINALLY able to put it to use! The two were a nice contrast. The pants are a high-waisted cotton rifing pant that i picked up for $10 at Forever21 awhile back (no longer available). I was super comfortable in this ensemble, head to toe. As for my shoes, I rocked out a pair of Jeffrey Campbell's Lita boots in black leather. These boots are a splurge at $160 but by FAR one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I've owned to date.

Thrifty Thursday

Hello All!

It's Thursdaaaay!! I would like to welcome you to the first Thrifty Thursday post! Allow me to showcase a few treasures I came across on a very recent thrift run. Most items in the store were 50% off. Everything else? DIRT CHEAP!

The leather vest has a tag price of $5.95 but was 50% off... I purchased it for under $3!

The Cosby sweater caught my eye with the beautiful blend of neutral colors and splash of green. It's a men's sweater yet fits my body perfectly. It's tag price was $4.95; it was the most expensive piece I purchased on this day =)

Lastly, the Gucci long sleeve. It is a beautiful shade of burgundy with monogram web design. It is in pristine condition and was only $1.95. There are no words... check out the pictures!

Until next time <3

Azul

I'm happy! This blazer brings a whole new meaning of "I've got the blues"... I am in LOVE with the color and fabric of this piece. It looks like tweed but gives a lighter wear. It has thin shoulder pads (non-removable) which gives more shape to the look.

Here, I paired it with black jean shorts (I made!), floral print tights (Betsey Johnson) and my all time fave black,open-toe platform heels (Jessica Simpson).

This AMAZING necklace was a Christmas gift (thanks Mom) ordered from Karmaloop.com. It's coral color was a great contrast to the cobalt blazer. It features various brass tone charms and I LOVE IT!

Enjoy!

XOXO
